The Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority, LAHSA, has opened its Volunteer Registration for the 2026 Greater Los Angeles Homeless Count.

Each January, LAHSA Volunteers count unhoused Angelenos including makeshift shelters, tents, and vehicles.

According to LAHSA, the 2026 Greater Los Angeles Homeless Count will feature improvements in staffing support and the training materials have been simplified to ensure consistency across all Los Angeles regions.

LAHSA is seeking to recruit 6,500 volunteers to assist with the 2026 Greater Los Angeles Homeless Count taking place on January 20, 21, and 22.
