A pronouncement of blessing to Christians who read it and to those who hear it read, as well as to those who are obedient, all in verse three.
Seven Spirits before Jesus throne are introduced in verse four.
Verse seven tells of Jesus coming in two separate events; once in the clouds and the other is when every eye will see him.
The seven golden candlesticks are introduced in verse twelve and thirteen.
John sees seven stars in Jesus right hand in verse sixteen.
Jesus is said to hold the keys of hell and of death in verse eighteen.
in verse nineteen John is told to write the things he has seen, experienced, and been told from the time the angel first appeared to him in verse one.
In verse twenty the angel tells John the seven golden candlesticks are seven local churches in Asia Minor and the seven stars in his right hand are the seven angels of the seven churches.
It is obvious to many there is more to who the seven stars are and who the seven golden candlesticks are than John was allowed to reveal.
There has been much speculation over the years as to the deeper meaning of this dual mystery.
