The Overland Track Tasmania Part 2 | Multiday Hiking, Best Hike In Australia

Описание к видео The Overland Track Tasmania Part 2 | Multiday Hiking, Best Hike In Australia

Hello again and welcome to part 2 of our Overland Track journey, after doing the double hike and walking 24.6km in one day we both struggle to get our feet moving the next morning let alone attempt to squeeze our swollen feet back into our hiking boots. We made it to Kia Ora ahead of schedule and enjoyed the afternoon relaxing around the hut soaking up the sun before we plunge into the freezing cold creek! And I mean freezing it was so cold my body turned red after sitting in it. Also, despite not being captured on camera I (Page) did not scream at all when going for a dip……unlike someone.

I must give it to Timmy though he sure is brave when it comes to going for a dip in freezing cold water. It was the last thing on anyone’s mind at Narcissus hut as it was absolutely freezing. Lake Saint Claire is the deepest last in Australia and Timmy wanted bragging rights to say he had swam in the deepest late, I’ll let you be the judge if he can claim that as a swim.

We spend our final nights on the track before heading back to civilisation and enjoying a well-deserved beer and burger. Must say fresh food tasted amazing after a week’s worth of dry food.

Day three: New Pelion to Kia Ora: 8.6km time estimated- 3-4hrs
Day four: Kia Ora to Windy Ridge: 9.6km time estimated- 9.6km 3.5-4.5hrs
Day five: Windy Ridge to Narcissus: 9km time estimated- 3-4hrs

We have also just filmed a Q&A video about The Overland Track from our experience, so if your interested head on over!
