Hi! Thanks for tuning in!

Today we're going to show you how to look up a Court case in the State of Florida. Our office is based in Miami-Dade, so we'll look into searching a case filed within Miami-Dade County.

If you are in another County in Florida, please send us an email or comment below and we'll create a video on how to #search for a #case in your area.

Learning to search for cases is beneficial as it helps you keep track of what has been filed; allows you to view non-confidential filings; and may assist you with your own investigative work--whether that be checking an employee's record or screening potential tenants, the list goes on.

All of this is public information. We do recommend that you register with the Clerk of Courts to maximize the use out of the system. Unregistered users may not be able to view the Court documents. Registration is free, and you're not charged for searching for or viewing cases.

This video will also walk you through finding out the judge assigned to a case, and how to get to a judge's website.
