Layered Potato Bake with Ground Beef and Leeks

Ingredients:
• Ground beef
• Garlic, chopped
• Leeks, thinly sliced
• Salt
• Black pepper
• Meat seasoning (your favorite blend)
• Half & Half (just a splash)
• Olive oil
• Butter, softened
• Potatoes, thinly sliced
• Carrots, thinly sliced
• Grated cheese mix
• Feta cheese

Instructions:
1. Chop the garlic and slice the leeks.
2. In a pan with olive oil, cook garlic and leeks until softened.
3. Add the ground beef. Season with salt, black pepper, and your favorite meat seasoning.
4. Cook until browned and ready.
5. Add a splash of half & half to make it juicy and creamy. Set aside.
6. Slice potatoes and carrots thinly.
7. Spread softened butter in an oven-safe pot.
8. Place a layer of potato slices on the bottom, followed by a layer of carrot slices.
9. Add a layer of the cooked meat mixture and a little grated cheese.
10. Repeat the layers 2–4 times, depending on the height of your pot.
11. Finish with a generous layer of grated cheese and some crumbled feta on top.
12. Bake in a preheated 400°F (200°C) oven for about 1 hour.
Note: You can bake uncovered the whole time (like in this recipe), or cover for the first 30 minutes and then uncover for a browned top. Keeping it covered the whole time is also an option if you prefer a fully melted, softer cheese layer.
13. Let cool slightly before serving.
