Kidney Beans also known as rajmah, rāzmā, or lal lobia, is a vegetarian dish, originating from the Indian subcontinent, consisting of red kidney beans in a thick gravy with many Indian whole spices, and is usually served with rice.
It is a part of regular diet in India, Nepal and Punjab province of Pakistan.
Rajma Masala is comfort food at its best. The combination of rajma and chawal which is also known as rajma chawal is the staple food of many north indians.

Recipe :
Take 2 cup Rajma (kidney Beans) & soak it overnight.
take soaked Rajma in a pressure cooker & add 1 tsp salt.
Let it cook till 2-3 whistles.
Take 1 cup chopped tomatoes, 2-3 garlic cloves, ginger & green chilies and make paste.
In a pressure cooker add 2-3 tbsp cooking oil
Add 1/2 tsp asafoetida, 1 tsp cumin seeds, 2-3 bay leaves.
Add 1 cup onion paste & fry it well.
Add tomato paste.
Add 2 tsp coriander powder, 1 tsp ground black pepper, 1 tsp turmeric powder, & 1 tsp red chili powder.
Add boiled Rajma (kidney Beans)
Add crushed dry fenugreek leaves & 1 cup water.
Add 2 tsp (as per taste) salt & 1 tsp garam masala.
Let it cook till 1 whistle.
Serve it hot with butter and rice etc.
