Adib Taherzadeh’s family had strong roots within the Bahá’í Faith.

He graduated from University of Tehran with an Electrical Engineering degree and in 1948 moved to Coventry, England to pursue his studies. After two years he then moved to Ireland as a chief engineer and remained in Ireland until 1988.

He married Zarin Moosezadeh-Cohen and had two children: a son, Tahir Ronald and a daughter, Bahiyyeh Vida. After his divorce from Zarin he married Lesley Gibson and they too had two children, a daughter, Maryam and a son, Bahhaj.

Taherzadeh served on the National Spiritual Assembly of the Bahá’ís of the British Isles (1960-1971), the National Spiritual Assembly of the Bahá’ís of the Republic of Ireland (1972-Unknown), in 1976 he was appointed to the European Continental Board of Counsellors, and he was elected to the Universal House of Justice (1988 – 2000).

Taherzadeh wrote several books on Bahá’í history and teachings along with several recordings of his talks/presentations. Some of his books include: The Child of the Covenant, The Covenant of Bahá’u’lláh, The Revelation of Bahá’u’lláh Volumes 1, 2, 3 and 4.
