METALLIC PROPERTY : Trends in Modern Periodic Table || in Hindi for Class 10

In this Chemistry video in Hindi for Class 10 we discussed on how metallic and non-metallic properties vary in the Modern Periodic Table and the reason behind that trend.

Metal : Elements which tend to lose electrons while forming bonds, are known as metals.

Ionization Energy : The amount of energy required to remove an electron from an isolated atom is called the ionization energy of that element.

As ionization energy increases the metallic property decreases.

Ionization energy increases along the groups in a period, hence, the metallic property decreases.

Ionization energy decreases along the periods the in a group, hence, the metallic property increases.
