Fearless and virtuosic violinist Jennifer Koh and pianist Thomas Sauer come together in a powerful recital. The virtual performance opens with Beethoven’s G-major op. 30/3 violin sonata and features two classic works commissioned by the McKim Fund in the Library of Congress: Julia Wolfe’s Mink Stole and George Lewis’ The Mangle of Practice. The recital also includes nine micro-commissions for solo violin by composers who participated in Koh’s pandemic project Alone Together.
