Sunday evening, we met again with our Italian friends and they surprised us with dinner at a unique place located in a hidden Piazzetta Margutta, next to an Art Gallery in the heart of Rome.

We had such a great time that we only took a few pictures and those shots do not do justice to the place or the delicious dishes that we shared that night!

"Imagine an elegant and a bit out-of-time home, in Rome... The light is soft, the colors measured by time and encounters. Books, many of them. Here and there signs of beauty and contemporary art.

The air smells of thyme and bread. Who lives there likes to take care of herself and those around her.

Yes, it's a she, this is Babette."

As customers, we were treated like royalty (had a large table inside the intimate courtyard) and the family recipes gave an authentic taste to our meal.

The attention to details, the superb service and the overall great ambiance made us wanted to return one day to this gem located in the heart of Rome!

*** Every day (except on Mondays and some holidays) from 7:00pm until 11:00PM, Babette welcomes its guests for a luscious dinner "a la carte".
