Japan had to force a quick evacuation and cancel all flights as powerful Typhoon Jebi hit the country. You may have heard about it, but in case you haven’t, watch this video made by Nexter with plenty of images so you can get an idea about the violence of Jebi and what its passage has done in this Asian country.

This natural disaster has already caused a lot of damage since it has entered the country with incredible strength. It is impossible to prepare for a violent nature of this magnitude. It has provoked floods, power cuts and, worst of all, killed people.

Typhoon Jebi is seen as the strongest storm in Japan in 25 years. It has already killed at least 10 people. So what is a typhoon? It consists of sudden blasts of wind, in this case of up to 129 mph and 3.9 inches of rain that have flooded Kyoto partially. Trees, houses, everything was hit by the force of nature.

The storm was disastrous and resulted in the collapse of a bridge that connected Shikoku Island and the main Japanese island of Honshu. It will be repaired or rebuilt after the typhoon goes away and the good weather comes back.

No building was safe. Thus, people had to leave their homes and go immediately to the nearest temporary shelter. There are 1,500 temporary shelters in the western port city of Kobe.
