The Rise and Fall of Toys to Life Games | Late to the Party

Toys to Life Games were a passing fad from around 2011 to 2017. So many games tried and failed to make a lasting impact on the market. The four big ones were Skylanders, Disney Infinity, and Lego Dimensions. They all failed, and all for one big reason- oversaturation. I talk about what they did wrong, what I like about them, and give some basic backstory about each of the major franchises (Skylanders, Disney Infinity, Lego Dimensions, and amiibo)- and of course, talk about whether or not you should revisit them.

These games, Skylanders in particular, mean a lot to me- they used to be some of my favorite games so I'd say this is my love letter to the genre.
