'My Way'

오늘 노래는 많은 대중들에게 박혜성이라는 이름을 기억하게 만들어 준 가장 큰 의미가 담긴 곡이다.

이 곡은 원래 프랭크 시나트라의 곡이지만 내가 알기로는 처음에는 큰 주목을 받지 못했다가 엘비스 프레슬리가 불러 빌보드 챠트 상위권에 오르게 되면서 유명해졌다고 알고있다.

고등학교 1학년 시절.
합창반 반장으로서 지역 경연대회에 나갔다가 심사시간 중에 각 학교별 장기가 있는 사람들이 올라와 노래나 춤, 코미디 같은 것을 선보이는 자리에 학교 대표로 올라가 이 노래를 불러 많은 동료 학생들에게 큰 인기를 얻게 됨으로서 주변 학교에 알려지기 시작했고 그 이 후 학교 축제 때마다 올라가 이 곡을 불러 많은 사랑을 받게 되었다.

이를 계기로 나는 가수라는 길로 나아가게 되었던 내게 있어서는 가장 소중하고 또 베스트 애창곡이라 할 수 있으며 방송뿐 아니라 콘서트 각종 공연때마다 빠지지 않고 불렀던 곡이다.

세상의 많은 역경이 기다리고 있을지라도 묵묵하게 나의 길을 가겠다는 가사의 내용처럼 오늘도 나는 삶의 후회스러운 일이 있을지라도 늘 한결같은 마음으로 나의 길을 가려고 한다!
