One barely more than a spiderling, one near adulthood.

The older one gives an awesome demonstration of salticid visual prowess. While the lenses of their eyes are fixed, their retinas can move behind them. This can be seen through the lenses and, in a see-thru spider like this, through the top of the cephalothorax too!

Unlike vertebrates, salticids use different sets of eyes for foveal and peripheral vision, allowing them to look in different directions at once. Their posterior lateral eyes can see partly behind them. And unlike us, they can see polarized light. It's also possible their vision is tetrachromatic, based on 4 primary colors compared to our 3.

The younger one inhabited the top of a small woody plant and had the place totally silked up. It didn't do much of interest but the cute factor more than made up for that.
