കാട്ടാമ്പാൽ പൂരം,

കാളി ദാരിക വധം ചിട്ടയോടെ വർഷംതോറും നടന്നുവരുന്ന ചരിത്ര പ്രസിദ്ധമായ പൂരം. യുദ്ധത്തിനെത്തുന്ന കാളിയും ദാരികൻമാരും തേരിലേറി പോരാടുന്നതിന്റെ അപൂർവ്വ കാഴ്ച്ചകൾ ഒരുക്കുന്ന പൂരമാണ്.

Kattakampal Pooram
Kattakampal Pooram is one of the countless festivals that happen in the villages of Kerala during the summer months of April and May. This festival is celebrated at Kattakampal Bhagavathy Temple in the village of Kattakampal in Thrissur District. Kattakampal Pooram is a grand spectacle, celebrated with aplomb, with colours, music and drama. Caparisoned elephants and percussion melam are part of the celebrations. The culminating point is the dramatic enactment of the mythical encounter between Goddess Kali and the demon Darikan. The characters stand on small wooden platforms and engage in debate that finally leads to the goddess slaying the demon, accompanied by blood-curdling shrieks
