As our daughter SL was due to arrive at Podgorica airport only at night on 22 May, we took the opportunity to tour the city in the day time.

Podgorica is the capital of Montenegro, but after landing at its airport, most tourists skip the capital and head directly to Kotor or Budva.

We found Podgorica to be full of greenery and parks, but there is no street life. We found a good Chinese restaurant (Zheng He), where we went for both lunch and dinner. This is why Podgorica left us with a good taste in the mouth. Literally :)

To get to the Podgorica airport from Budva, we first had to take the intercity bus to Podgorica bus station in the city centre. We then had to take another bus to the airport, but the schedule for this latter bus is like every few hours. Fortunately, we managed to find a departure timing that suited us — I think most people would end up taking a taxi for the short 10-minute ride from the city centre to the airport.
