Описание к видео Best Chinese Food In Canada? BETTER Than HK? (Koon Bo Restaurant) My Chinese Broccoli Recipe牛肉炒芥兰

Koon Bo Chinese Restaurant is a popular Vancouver, B.C. restaurant well known for its dim sum, seafood and authentic Chinese dishes. This old style Cantonese restaurant was run by the previous owners for close to 20 years and the present overs have been operating for over 10 years. They are located at 5682 Fraser Street in Vancouver B.C.
They make a delicious in- house Cantonese roast duck. The flavors are authentic and delicious because they don't omit key ingredients that some of the local Chinese bbq shops do. Their ducks are also plumper and more juicy. We also had the 8 precious hot pot with tofu puffs. The 8 toppings are met and seafood topping that are cooked in a hot pot to release all their flavors. Another dish we enjoyed is the traditional Beef and Chinese Broccoli Stir Fry. As well, we had a tSty pork and green bean stir fry. It had the right amount of "wok Hei", which is the carbon sear flavor released from the carbon steel wok. We finished our dinner with a whole chicken, prepared in 2 different ways. Both eere absolutely delicious.

In the second half of this video, I cook my version of Beef And Chinese Broccoli Stir Fry 牛肉炒芥兰.

Recipe is below:

BEEF AND GAI LAN STIR FRY

牛肉炒芥兰 This recipe is for Beef And Gai Lan Stir Fry. It's an easy and delicious stir fry. Your family and friends will be impressed when you serve this restaurant quality dish.

16 oz. sliced beef
1 1/2 lbs. sliced gai lan vegetables (Chinese broccoli)
2 tablespoons sliced ginger
6 tablespoons or more cooking oil
1 teaspoon or less salt
2 to 3 tablespoon light soy sauce
1 teaspoon sesame oil
3 tablespoon Chinese oyster sauce

1 to 2 tablespoon cornstarch mixed in 1/3 cup water

I used rib eye steak in this recipe. This is a good cut of beef which generally doesn't need marinating. You can use cheaper cuts of beef such as chuck steak, blade steak . Medium price cuts you can use include top sirloin steak or flank steak.

Cut beef into slices. Rinse the gai lan vegetable in cold water. Slice the gai lan into 2 to 3 inch long pieces. For more tender gai lan, boil the gai lan for 2 to 5 minutes or until desired tenderness. Preheat a pan or wok at medium to high heat. Add cooking oil. Add chopped ginger and garlic. Stir fry briefly. Add gai lan vegetables. Add a dash of salt. Do final stir fry and put he gai lan on a nice plate.

Preheat a wok or pan at medium heat. Add cooking oil and ginger slices. Briefly stir fry. Add beef and let sear. Add salt. Then stir fry briefly. Add light soy sauce, sesame oil and oyster sauce. Stir fry briefly. Add cornstarch solution to thicken the sauce. Do final stir fry. Serve on top of the gai lan vegetables on the plate. Enjoy!
