The battle between US President Donald Trump and his former close ally Elon Musk has taken a new turn. Musk has announced the launch of a new political party, saying Trump's "big, beautiful" tax bill will bankrupt America. "Today, the America Party is formed to give you back your freedom," he tweeted. Musk's announcement came after Trump signed his so-called "big, beautiful" tax-cut and spending bill into law on Friday, a move Musk strongly opposed. Trump, meanwhile, has dismissed Musk's plan to start a new political party as "ridiculous".
