Ivy Calvin is referred to as “The King of Palmdale.” Ivy frequented auctions for almost a decade before getting involved in the auction world in 2009, when he opened his thrift store, Grandma’s Attic. The popularity of Ivy’s thrift store earned him enough of a name to catch the attention of the A&E network, which resulted in an invitation to join the popular bidding show.

Mary Padian and Ivy Calvin are known stars of Storage Wars, an American reality television series on the A&E Network featuring storage units that are auctioned off as a single lot of items in the form of a cash-only auction. Before each unit is auctioned, the buyers are given 5 minutes to inspect the contents from the doorway, but may not enter or touch any items. The net profit or loss of each unit sold is showcased at the end of each show.
