"The Big Money" by RUSH from their 11th studio album, Power Windows released in 1985. This drum cover took me about 12 - 14 hours behind the kit where I spent most of that time trying to choose sounds and samples that might work as a substitute. I also listened to the song on repeat to and from work for about a month. Neil continued to use an assortment of percussion combined with electronic samples to create such memorable melodies. As you can see I tried my best at replicating those sounds. Some are close, some are eh, but I still had a great time figuring out Neil's "code" on this song. It always baffles my mind, when I really sit down and study his work in great detail, that he CREATED this from his brilliant mind.

I tried a different drum mix, eq, and compression so I hope this sound is an improvement from the past drum covers...Your feedback is appreciated.

My story:
Married at 22 years old, 3 kids soon after. Watched the ship sail at a young age, no regrets there, just life choices that we all have to make and hopefully family takes priority. My wife and I are empty nesters now so I feel like it's my time again, you know. Not that I'll ever become a passenger on that Ship that sailed so many years ago but at least it passes by every now and then and I get to wave at all the amazing drummers aboard...stay cool and enjoy doing what you love, even if it's in your drum room at home making YouTube Videos!
