The Last of the Mohicans. Alhaji Hassan Wayam remains the last of the traditional Hausa goge (Fiddle) players. Here he is, live and glorious 4k (YouTube may downgrade it, though) for all posterity.

Absolutely my best (together with late Graba Supa), he produces music of excellent quality accompanied by lyrics that simply pay homage to life. Unstructured, yes, but the focus is on enjoyment, rather than classical poetics.

This is a beta version of the recording. It is still being edited - but only the credits remain. Might post the full edits if chanced, but what you see here is all there is -- and remember this is the ONLY place you will get it; if it appears in any other place, it is pirated.
