Episode 6 - Transitioning to Barefoot Shoes. First Run and Impressions of Altra Lone Peak 8.

This video was shot as a First Impression of the Altra Lone Peak 8 and up until this run had never been run in. As part of my transition from conventional shoes for running and daily day to day life, I have predominantly been using Vivobarefoot Primus Trail FG trail running shoes for all running. However, I have developed some achilles pain after running in the Vivo shoes. Before purchasing the Vivo trail running shoes I purchased the Altra Lone Peak 8 trail running shoe in the wide fit with the intension of using the Altras as a transition to a barefoot shoe and help become comfortable with zero drop. The lone peak 8 is a relatively new shoe in the Altra line up and the widest trail shoe they currently sell. The fit is fantastic, loads of room in the toe box, zero drop and just enough cushion to make them feel like a comfortable a pair of slippers compared the Vivo Primus Trail. Grip is excellent thanks the ample lug depth and design.
