Re-Engineering Engineering Education: Stephan Athan at TEDxUF

Описание к видео Re-Engineering Engineering Education: Stephan Athan at TEDxUF

Why do most engineering students wait until college to begin thinking about an engineering career? How are they able to compete in a highly competitive global industry given the numerous constraints, limited timeframes, and inadequate education? Because they have no other choice? Dr. Athan's solution is an engineering program based on the concept of a wormhole and compressing the timeline. His top-down teaching methodology empowers young minds with career knowledge starting at a young age.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
