Ancient Stone Lifting Competition | Khumai (Tunggam) Apaoshethe, Paddy transplantation

Khumai (Tunggam) Apaoshethe (Paddy transplantation festival) on 10 June, 2022. The Ancient Stone Lifting (Locally known as Rofiichukia) which was still observed as the tradition attached to unique transplantation festival of Khumai since the time this stone was brought up by a lady from Barak river which is about 2 Km at this place.

The Ancient Stone Lifting was practice to find out the strongest man among the field goer after transplantation at Barak Valley paddy field of Khumai.
