The Infosys Science Foundation inaugurated its new building in Jayanagar, Bangalore on July 14. The event was attended by the who's who of the academic world and up-and-coming young researchers and students. The foundation's trustees reiterated their commitment to rewarding pathbreaking research by Indian scientists and scholars. We heard from young scholars about their aspirations for research in India. We also heard from a distinguished panel of speakers comprising V. Ravichandar of the BIC, Arundhati Ghosh of the India Foundation for the Arts, and Jahnavi Phalkey of Science Gallery Bengaluru, about the importance of public spaces for enabling arts and science.
