Footballer ‘Abducted’ By Recruiters As Ukraine Ups Mobilisation; Proof Of Zelensky’s Desperation?

A Ukrainian football club has accused army recruiters of ‘abducting’ their star player. 25-year-old Nikolay Sirash was picked up from a local train station, the club said in a post. The club added that the new rule allowing the mobilisation of men under 27 hasn’t kicked in yet. This is not the first case of forceful recruitment as Kyiv struggles to resist Russian advances.
