A new era has emerged, as leading design professionals, emerging creative talents, modern artisans and contemporary craftsmen are rediscovering their voices and realizing the value of community in their industry. More than ever, Creatives crave the exchange of new, intellectual capital and are intolerant to propagandaʼs push for conformity. One cannot deny that the global design marketplace, from fashion to architecture and interior design to art, is rapidly changing. There is a need for a drastic shift - for commerce to bend to art, and not the other way around.

As thinkers and doers in the current design administration, we invite you to participate in the paradigm shift. City of West Hollywood's celebrated Avenues of Art, Fashion and Design District is pleased to present, DIEM - Design Intersects Everything Made, an innovative, one- day symposium to inspire, educate and encourage good design, on October 5th, 2012.

Filling a whitespace for the national design industry, DIEM is an unprecedented event addressing cutting- edge dialogue for a new era of design. Through deliberate cross-pollination between design disciplines, from fashion to interior design and architecture to art, DIEM will host a series of thoughtfully curated programs held at various locations within the Avenues District, to explore breakthroughs for the business of creativity.

On October 5th, captains and enthusiasts of the design industries are invited to engage with one another and mix, through a series of events that will combine the intelligence and beauty of good design. Culturally resonating discussions, interactive forums, trade presentations and keynotes from leaders in the fields of design, decorative arts, fashion, architecture and fine arts will explore, evaluate and inspire breakthroughs for the business of creativity.
