Scott Fischer sat down with Kent Berk with Berk Law Group. Kent and his team specialize in probate, estate and trust litigation. There can be many legal issues that can come up before a persons death as well as after a persons death. Kent and his team want to help people in bad situations.

Kent Berk, the Founder and Managing Partner of Berk Law Group, P.C. in Scottsdale, has been an active participant in the Arizona legal community for over 30 years. He founded the firm in 1996. His firm of 12 attorneys, paralegals and staff specializes in probate, trust, estate and elder law disputes and litigation.
Kent recently received the 2023 Robert R. Mills Member of the Year award from the Maricopa County Bar Association (MCBA). This accolade recognized his exceptional contributions to the association’s programs, his dedication to the ideals of the legal profession, and his unwavering commitment to public service. Kent currently serves on the Board of Governors of the MCBA.
A Magna Cum Laude and Order of the Coif graduate from Tulane Law School in 1992, Kent began his career interning with the Hon. Sherman G. Finesilver, Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the District of Colorado. He then joined, Connor Cavanagh, the second-largest law firm in Arizona at the time, in 1993.
Kent is an author of several articles and a frequent seminar speaker on numerous topics, including artificial intelligence and probate, trust and estate law. Kent has served on various boards, including as the chair of the Estate Planning Probate and Trust Section of the MCBA. He is also actively involved in the Probate Lawyers Assistance Project. His community outreach efforts underscore his belief that the practice of law extends beyond professional achievement to broader societal contributions.
Outside of his professional life, Kent is a co-founder of AZ on the Rocks – Indoor Climbing and Pure Pickleball, LLC. In his leisure time, he enjoys playing pickleball with his family, hiking, ceramics, baking and cooking and spending quality time with his loved ones, especially his two granddaughters.
