Vikram Panda had been admitted to the Surgery Department five days ago due to multiple health issues, including gallbladder stones, piles, and dental pain. A seven-member medical team was reportedly monitoring his treatment, and doctors had advised surgery for gallbladder stones.

While Vikram allegedly agreed to undergo surgery, controversy erupted when he was suddenly discharged and handed over to the police for transfer back to jail.

During the discharge process, a heated argument reportedly took place between the police escort team, Vikram, and his family members. Despite objections citing his health condition, police escorted him in a wheelchair based on the discharge report and shifted him to jail.
