New reagents DVVtest and DVVconfirm for lupus anticoagulants diagnosis - DRVVT pathway

HORIBA introduces two new reagents DVVtest® and DVVconfirm®. These reagents are used for DRVVT tests performed for the screening of Lupus Anticoagulants and achieve excellent sensitivity of 90% and specificity of 97%. ◆Hemostasis products◆https://www.horiba.com/en_en/medical/...

The new reagents DVVtest® and DVVconfirm® perform Dilute Russell’s Viper Venom Time (DRVVT) tests using the diluted Russell’s VIPER VENOM method to detect lupus anticoagulants in patient plasma.

Both reagents are packed in a kit of 10 lyophilized vials.
The turnaround time is less than 5 minutes achieving excellent sensitivity of 90% and specifcity of 97%. No heparin interference is seen due to the use of a neutralizing agent. Very good accuracy goes beyond the highest analytical objectives with an overall coefficient of variation of less than 6%.
