The aoe4 ottoman civilisation have access to the unique unit, the aoe4 janissary. The aoe4 janissary unit is designed to counter the knights but often do a lot better in a mixed army composition with a protecting unit on the front lines.

This video however will show how well the aoe4 janissary can do against the knight in a straight castle age fight but with the janissary being micro-ed.
