Wing Nuts! Battle in the Sky is an interesting game that seems to be a largely forgotten Dos game. The game was originally developed by Rocket Science Games and published by a few different companies, including BMG Interactive Entertainment, and Memorex Software. According to the advert, Wing Nuts! is "the only full-motion video dogfight simulator," although "simulator" is a bit of a stretch. Set sometime during the First World War, Wing Nuts! is a relatively loose interpretation of the Air War of World War I. The game focuses on a multinational air squadron lead by Billy Bishop in its efforts to fight Prussia. All cut scenes are rendered in Full-motion Video (FMV), and feature some relatively decent acting for an FMV game. The special effects are also decently done, though the historical accuracy is quite awful, featuring an Allied squadron of Nieuport 28s, Sopwith Pups, SE5As, etc. Gameplay wise, its well made, being a rail shooter in a similar vein as the Star Fox games, albeit much more arcadey. It runs well in Dosbox, and is relatively easy to set up and run.
