1934 Philco 59 Restore Part 1

With a New Year, comes a new project! Buzz has selected a classic looking 1934 Philco Model 59 as his first project of the year. This is a small midget or cigar box size 4 tube radio. Anxious to power it up, but not wanting to do any damage, old Buzz carefully checks it out to see if it has problems. After a smooth start, some problems are encountered. But not to fear, out comes the world famous Buzz Winder to rewind the antenna and oscillator coils. After it is completed, it's time to power it up! Will it work, or will Buzz cry?
Included in this video, Buzz sends his TempleTone radio home to Connecticut, where it was built in 1947 to Leo, a good subscriber. To close out the video, Dickel introduces "Devil Doll" an 8mm film comedy, made by Buzz and starring his brother Bizz from 1968 on "Buzz Cinema" Enjoy!
