Aareschlucht Aare Gorge Switzerland Meiringen 4K

Aare Gorge is located near Meiringen in the Bernese Oberland and is one of the most spectacular gorges of Switzerland.
Over tens of thousands of years, the Aare river has eroded a course through the limestone cliffs and creating a 1.4 km long, up to 200 m deep stunning gorge, which in places is only 1 - 2 metres wide.
The gallery and a footpath through the gorge were built in 1889 to make it accessible to tourists. In 2018 a new record number of visitors was set.184000 tourists visited this beautiful and really magic place.

Die Aareschlucht liegt bei Meiringen im Berner Oberland und ist eine der spektakulärsten Schluchten der Schweiz.
Über zehntausende von Jahren hat sich die Aare einen Weg durch die Kalksteinfelsen erodiert und eine 1,4 km lange, bis zu 200 m tiefe, atemberaubende Schlucht geschaffen, die stellenweise nur 1 - 2 Meter breit ist.
Die Galerie und ein Fußweg durch die Schlucht wurden 1889 gebaut, um sie für Touristen zugänglich zu machen. Im Jahr 2018 wurde ein neuer Besucherrekord aufgestellt.184000 Touristen besuchten diesen schönen und wirklich magischen Ort.
