On 19 June 1989, Diana, Princess of Wales attended a charity tennis match in aid of the British Deaf Association. Held at Wimbledon's All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club, the match was attended by stars of tennis and television including actresses Barbara Windsor and Nerys Hughes, singer Cliff Richard, and tennis stars Ivan Lendl, Stefan Edberg, Michael Chang, and John Lloyd.
