Here's an interesting folk rag from Illinois by an apparently one-off composer. The title, according to researchers JohnJ1995 and Erlingl, appears to derive from a character in a popular novel "Edna Browning", which was still popular when this was written. The rag was initially self-published in Moweaqua, Illinois but was picked up by Chicago publisher Victor Kremer in 1908. Erlingl adds the following info he found regarding the composer:

Jay Coffman was born in Shelby County, Illinois 1885. He played the piano locally at several events and was also part of a local orchestra. Later he is mentioned as salesman and merchant. He and two of his brothers ran the Moweaqua Coffman’s Mill founded by their father in the 1870s. Jay was apparently a keen and good golfer(!). He lived in Moweaqua, Shelby County and died in 1958.
