Schuman Talk (episode 37) - Eduard Heger

For the last Schuman Talk of the year, we will touch on the subject of who are the "Saints in suits" and what is the role of believers in politics, together with host Jeff Fountain and our guest, Eduard Heger.

Mr. Eduard Heger became prime minister of Slovakia in April 2021, after a turbulent history of corruption and misrule involving his predecessors. He was a leader of a Catholic Charismatic community in Bratislava before entering politics, and also served as finance minister and deputy prime minister. As prime minister he strongly supported Ukraine’s defense against the Russia invasion, supplying arms and aircraft to Ukraine. He was succeeded as prime minister after elections in May 2023 by his predecessor, the controversial and pro-Kremlin Robert Fico.
