The talk focuses on the rehabilitation of juvenile criminals in a manner that they are affixed with accountability that is not punitive. The speaker seeks to open up avenues for conversations about juvenile crime by the virtue of this talk while balancing the nuances of reformation, the eradication of crime at the grassroots level and the age factor that shall be taken into account while dealing with crimes committed by young people that can be transformed into able citizens and contribute to the society they live in. Meenakshi Jha is a first-year English Major at the Lady Shri Ram College for Women, Delhi University, and was the Head Girl of the esteemed Sri Venkateshwar International School (Batch of 2023). She currently serves as a staff writer for The Teen Magazine, having been featured by notable publications like the Cathartic Youth Literary Magazine as well. With a keen interest in politics, music and debating, she aspires to become someone who can represent the unrepresented in the coming years through her endeavors as a journalist.
