Preparatory Work

1. Drone Selection and Inspection

Ensure that the selected drone has sufficient hoisting capacity to bear a load, its maximum payload, battery life, and flight stability !

Conduct a comprehensive inspection of the drone before the hoisting task, including checking the battery level, the condition of the propellers, and whether the flight control system is normal, to ensure it is in optimal working condition !

2. Installation of Hoisting Equipment

Equip the drone with suitable hoisting devices, such as specially made hooks and ropes. These hoisting devices should be firm and reliable, capable of safely connecting to the timber and bearing its weight !

Carefully inspect the connection parts between the hoisting equipment and the drone to ensure a tight connection without any loosening or falling off during the hoisting process !

3. Timber Preparation

Sort out the approximately 100 kilograms of timber to be hoisted, making it as regular in shape as possible for easy hoisting. For example, the scattered pieces of timber can be bundled into relatively neat bundles !

Install fixing points at appropriate positions on the timber so that they can be connected to the hooks of the hoisting equipment. The fixing points should be strong enough to bear the pulling force when the timber is hoisted !

Hoisting Process

1. Take-off and Positioning

Place the drone at a suitable take-off position, ensuring that the surrounding environment is open and there are no obstacles affecting its take-off and subsequent flight !

Operate the drone to take off smoothly and then fly it to the position above the timber. Use the camera or other positioning devices of the drone to accurately locate the timber and adjust the position so that the hoisting equipment can be accurately connected to the fixing points on the timber !

2. Connection and Lifting

Operate the drone to descend slowly and let the hooks of the hoisting equipment be firmly connected to the fixing points on the timber. Closely observe the connection process through the camera, etc., to ensure a successful connection !

After the connection is made, operate the drone to slowly increase the altitude and lift the timber smoothly. During the lifting process, pay attention to observing the flight attitude and various parameters of the drone, such as the battery level and load situation, to ensure that it can normally bear the weight of the timber !

3. Transportation and Landing

According to the predetermined route, operate the drone to transport the hoisted timber from the mountain to the designated location. During the transportation process, always pay attention to the weather conditions, such as wind speed and wind direction, to avoid any impact on flight safety due to bad weather !

When arriving at the designated landing location, operate the drone to land slowly and place the timber smoothly on the ground. During the landing process, also pay attention to observing the state of the drone to ensure a safe landing !

Follow-up Inspection

1. Drone Inspection

After the hoisting task is completed, conduct another inspection of the drone to check if there are any damaged parts caused by the hoisting task, such as whether the propellers are deformed or whether the connection parts of the hoisting equipment are loose !

Check the remaining battery level of the drone so as to recharge it in time and get ready for the next task !

2. Timber Inspection

Inspect the timber after hoisting to see if it is intact and whether there are any cases of falling off or damage during the hoisting process. If the timber is for a specific purpose, ensure that its quality can still meet the requirements !
