Every time I visit El Dahar, Hurghada, I go to this market. There are lots to see and do. The atmosphere is one of a kind. You can’t experience it anywhere else in Hurghada. It’s the most authentic part of the city.I would strongly recommend everyone to go there and have a look at this place. It is easy to spend hours there, browsing the local produce and spices. Fruits and vegetables are fresh and organic.If you want to see and explore real Egypt in Hurghada, go to El Dahar Market.

El Dahar is local peoples shoppping area and you can find good prices and interesting shops.

This is a fruit and vegs paradise for an average price. Do not hesitate to go there to buy some extra food for the family back to the hotel and carry done st yiur home destinations. Prices are fixed and shown on the signs.

Personally, I can’t keep away from the place. Although today it seems completely different to the photos of the past, now it is not so clean but still full of character. It’s a place to get anything you need, tee shirts, shoes, bags, Bric a brac. The people, although don’t have much, still find the time to smile. The souk is amazing, you can pick up just about every fruit and veg under the sun.

Staying not far from the Marina and Dahar I would often take myself out for a walk. I like to experience the sights and sounds of this area. When I came across the market I went through it. The amazing range or fruit and vegetables plus they also sell live chickens or ducks. The fruit is bought by the kilo. Cabbages and cauliflower like you have never seen the like for size.. some fruit is limited for the season. Strawberries for instance green apples.The market is an experience of sights,sounds and smells.

Worth a visit. Experience the local area of Hurghada. Safe to walk through the streets. Very friendly people willing to assist with anything, good food and shopping (not as great as Cairo but worth it).

We always like to go a bit off the beaten track when we visit places.If you want to see where the locals shop go here. Souk was colourful and entertaining.

Come to the old city of Hurghada - El Dahar for souvenir shopping. Much more cheaper than Sheraton Street market. In El Dahar you can find a range of items and can bargain good prices.
