Cycling Sheppey (Kent) - words of warning

Sheppey has changed dramatically since I was last there - see here for a better idea of what it is like now. Be assured, this is an interesting ride but not one for the pelleton or the family out for the day. There is traffic, plenty of stop-start and the occasional obstacle. Is it worth it?? Well once on the island it is best to head west. If you live within cycling distance we recommend you skirt around Sittingbourne, but otherwise access is not too bad
