Film and Television Institute of India || FTII Open Day || Part - 1

The Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) will throw open its gates to the public for ‘Open Days’ on September 17 and 18. On both the days, the public will be able to visit the film school and its facilities. This is the first time that the Institute is celebrating ‘Open Day’.

The ‘Open Day’ is aimed at educating visitors of the various steps involved in filmmaking. This will include scriptwriting and release print and the final film product on DCP, besides processes like editing, sound recording, and art direction.

The institute boasts of two major film studios built by Prabhat Film Company that are still functional. Visitors can recollect memories of filmmaking at Prabhat Studios where classics like Dharmatma, Sant Tukaram, Kuku, Manus were created. They will be allowed to visit other departments too, like camera, lights, etc.
