How to Make FONDANT Baby SHOES | How to make baby CONVERSE shoes | BABY shoe Tutorial with TEMPLATE

In this video I will demonstrate how easy it is to make fondant baby shoes. These shoes are very simple to make and don't require a lot of materials. Use the template below to cut out the shapes needed for the shoes. These baby shoes made from fondant are a super cute addition to any baby themed or gender reveal cakes! They look great with any colour added. If you don't want it to look like converse then just eliminate the parts where I added the dotted lines.

How to make baby shoes out of fondant:

I personally used gum paste in this tutorial however, you can use fondant. I also added some tylose powder that way it becomes a bit more stiff and easier to work with. If using fondant, you will need to add tylose powder as fondant is a lot softer.

First you should cut out all the shapes and place them in a ziplock bag. I find it's a lot easier to have everything done and placed in a bag that way no parts get too dry. Add the top portion(2) on to the base(4) by sticking it on with some water and a paint brush. Add some plastic wrap rolled into a ball inside the shoe so that the front portion can form a round shape. Then stick on the sides of the shoe(1) wrap this around the base(4) and stick it on with some water. Once this is done you can add the white portion (3) on top of (2). Then add your small details: shoe lace with a bow, front checkered strip, and the strip around the base of the sides(1). Allow this to dry before placing it on your cake. Don't forget to remove the plastic wrap once your shoe has dried!
