FULL RECIPE 🔥

DOUGH
Ingredients
1/3 cup warm water
4 1/2 tsp yeast
1/3 cup Crisco
1 1/2 cups milk
2 eggs
1/2 cup sugar
5 cups flour, divided
1 tsp salt

Instructions
Combine warm water and yeast. Let sit 5 minutes until foamy.
Add Crisco, milk, eggs, sugar, 2 cups flour, and salt. Mix well.
Gradually add remaining flour until a soft dough forms.
Cover and let rise 1 to 2 hours, until doubled.
Roll out and cut into donut shapes.

FRYING
1/3 cup shortening
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1/3 cup canola oil

Heat oil to 350°F. Fry in batches until golden brown on both sides. Drain on paper towels and cool slightly before glazing or filling.

🍩 CLASSIC GLAZE
1/2 cup melted butter
2 cups powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla
Pinch salt
5 tbsp evaporated milk

Whisk until smooth. Dip warm donuts and let set.

🍩 CREAM FILLING
1/2 cup + 1 tbsp Crisco
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 to 2 tbsp evaporated milk

Beat until light and fluffy. Pipe into cooled donuts.

🍁 MAPLE GLAZE
3 tbsp butter
1/4 cup maple syrup
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
Dash salt
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 tsp maple extract
1 tbsp evaporated milk

Melt butter and maple syrup. Whisk in remaining ingredients until smooth. Dip donuts and let set.
