Benedictine Brewery at the Mt. Angel Abbey

Benedictine Brewery & St. Michael Taproom is one of six breweries in the United States that is owned and operated by monks! Just a half hour Northeast of Salem, Benedictine Brewery invites you to "Taste and Believe" at their taproom at the Mt. Angel Abbey.

Monks have been brewing beer since the early Middle Ages and the beer brewed at the Benedictine Brewery follows the early monastic tradition and is “crafted for a higher purpose”. The monks use hops grown on Mount Angel Abbey land to brew their traditional, Belgian-style beers.
