I love fishing in the rain. Rainy summer days with mild wind have produced some of my best days of fishing.

Although, there’s a ton of factors at play, I feel days like that really do increase the potential to catch fish.

Rain can cause water conditions to cool as well as reduce visibility due to ripples on the water, these factors can make fish more comfortable coming into shallow bays.

The rain also has the potential to wash insects and other food sources into the water, which could cause a feeding frenzy…

Which I found to be true on this day

Right away I was on the bass. I didn't have to go far from the dock to start catching fish!
