Leblon is the most expensive neighborhood in Brazil. The most expensive rental in Brazil is in the Leblon neighborhood, in Rio de Janeiro, where the price per square meter surpassed the mark of US$ 21.00 per square meter last month – an unprecedented feat. The conclusion is from the November 2023 Rent Index.

The study listed the most expensive neighborhoods to live in in four state capitals – São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte, Porto Alegre – and the Federal District. Leblon, in Rio de Janeiro, came first among the most expensive neighborhoods in Brazil, followed by Vila Olímpia, in São Paulo.

The neighborhoods with the most expensive rent in Brazil are:
Leblon - Rio de Janeiro: U$ 21.24/m²
Vila Olímpia - São Paulo: U$ 19.26/m²
Ipanema - Rio de Janeiro: U$ 18.50/m²

Four of the six locations analyzed had a record average price per square meter in November compared to the historical series, which started in 2019. They were: São Paulo, BH, Curitiba and Porto Alegre.
