How to Sound Like a Robot (Audacity Vocoder Tutorial)

To sound like a robot, use the Vocoder effect in Audacity.

Now record your voice in a stereo track. If you have Mono audio, watch this video to see how to convert Mono to Stereo:    • Audacity: Make Mono Track into Stereo...  
Split the stereo track and remove the right channel.
Then record you synth (link above) carrier in a stereo track and remove the left channel.
Click on the Track Drop-Down Menu and select "Make Stereo Track".
Go to "Effect" then "Vocoder" (should be at the bottom of the list)
Mess around with options if you wish, then press "OK"
