Today, I want to talk to you about understanding home inspections as the summer selling season is well underway. It’s been very busy this year, and for those buyers who are out there or considering buying, I want to make sure you're familiar with the inspection process.

When you go under contract, within that first week, we will contact the home inspector to come out. They will take a look at everything in the home and generate a report for you. They will test everything, including the lights and appliances, and tell you what’s wrong with them.

Once you get that report, we will review it and look for things related to safety and function. If there are significant issues, we will go back to the seller and request that these items be addressed before we close.
