PVC tubing is the go-to choice for many, because it is cheap and easy to bend. But it also degrades in the sun, is not sturdy, and ends up all-too-soon in the landfill. Metal 1/2" conduit is just as cheap, very sturdy, easy to store hanging on a wall, and will last forever. If not, it is recyclable.
